Karynda joined STRYV365 in October 2022 as a Program Manager. She is the lead program manager for the St. Francis school district, working primarily with Deer Creek Intermediate School and St. Francis High School.
Karynda is a passionate and driven team player with experience in athletics, mental health, and healthcare. Karynda was born and raised in Milwaukee, where she attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School.
For the past five years, she has been working in healthcare case management serving primarily the adult population providing service coordination and care planning of mental health, substance abuse, and medical services. Most recently, she served the elderly and disabled population providing care planning and coordination of essential services related to physical and mental health.
Karynda played Division 1 basketball at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY where she was co-captain of the first championship team in Iona’s women’s basketball history. Leading the team as captain for her last two seasons, she was also a part of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee and earned Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Team Honors in 2016. After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Diversity and Social Welfare, she went on to study and practice Marriage and Family Therapy.
Karynda returned to the game by beginning her coaching career in 2020 working with a local girls’ basketball travel AAU team. She is currently a volunteer coach for the girls’ basketball program working with both the junior varsity and varsity teams at St. Francis High School. She possesses a passion for helping people and supporting the health and well-being of youth. Karynda is excited to continue working with youth and fully believes in STRYV365’s mission and vision. She approaches life with a cheerful outlook and is a lifelong learner who values reflection and growth.
